Tree Removal
We specialise in the technical dismantling of dangerous trees, whilst offering a full range of removal services from overhanging branches to commercial felling and full site clearance.
...we can even grind the stumps out too!
Remedial Pruning
Remedial pruning includes the removal of dangerous or hazardous branches, deadwooding, and pruning any branches which may cause damage or ill form.
Rejuvenation pruning aims to correct overgrowth, lapsed pollards and struggling trees.
We also provide veteranisation and habitat creation aiding rewilding and ensuring ecological habitat preservation.
Formative Pruning
Formative pruning looks to establish the structure of young trees or control the growth of mature trees.
With mature trees it includes crown work such as thinning, lifting, cleaning and reducing.
Often a mixture of these techniques provide the best outcome in terms of both tree longevity, health and aesthetics.
Forestry
Thinning and maintaining plantations, felling and commercial logging; we've worked on some of the biggest trees in Sherwood Forest.
Have a nice woodland and don't know if it's safe?
We can assess and deal with potential dangers before they become a risk - particularly important near footpaths and rights of way.
Emergency Works
Should you have a tree in need of urgent attention; where it has fallen or is about to fall and requires an immediate resolution, we can help!
We'll make the site safe and formulate a plan to fully resolve the situation if its not feasible to do so then and there.
We're always more than happy to offer free help and guidance - when in doubt, get us out!
Orcharding
Production pruning for fruit trees takes on a whole new level of complexity and entirely different approach to maximise a healthy harvest, but we’re just as good at that too! …in fact, that’s where we cut out teeth in the Tree world!
We also offer planning and planting services.
Tree Injection
We're leading the way in new-age tree care; tree injection is becoming the new industry standard for the isolated systemic application of nutrients and treatments.
Injection can aid in cases of insect and parasite infestation, drought or nutrient deficiencies.
Stump Removal
Once the tree is gone, what do you do with the stump?
We have access to a range of stump grinding and removal machinery, and often can quote from a photo; just lay a tape measure across the widest diameter and send us the image!

About Us
The 'Not Your Average Tree Man' brand began with my YouTube channel - @NotYourAverageTreeMan - where I made videos of tree man life whilst working as a contract climber for other local firms!
My videos began to get quite a following, and I soon realised I had more to offer customers directly than through subcontracting, so set up my own tree climbing company in 2023.
Josh and Dan joined soon after, and the dream team was born...
